FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a certificate for a try dive?

No. A try dive is for anyone who wants to experience diving with an instructor before taking a full diving certification.

Can you take a PADI course on Bornholm?

Yes. Dykkercenter Bornholm offers PADI training from introductory dives and Open Water to advanced courses and specialties.

Which PADI course should I start with?

If you have never dived before, a try dive is a good start. If you want a full certification, PADI Open Water Diver is the first certification level. If you are already certified, Advanced Open Water Diver, nitrox or another specialty may be the next step.

Is a PADI certification internationally recognized?

Yes. PADI certifications are used by dive centres around the world. After Open Water Diver, you can continue with guided dives, Advanced Open Water Diver and relevant specialties within the limits of your certification and experience.

What happens if the weather is not suitable for course dives?

The dive site, timing and order are planned around wind, waves, visibility and participant level. If conditions are not suitable, the dive is adjusted or moved so training can be conducted responsibly.

Do I need my own diving equipment for a PADI course?

Required course equipment can normally be arranged with the centre. Bring swimwear, a towel and any personal equipment such as a mask if you already have one that fits well.
